  1. These are great! 🙂 Especially agree with the last one there, I think loners often are people who have found a lot of disappointment! I don’t really see myself as a loner, because I like people, but I do seem to spend a lot of time on my own these days – writing makes it worse, it’s not something you do with other people is it!? 🙂

You should open a Tumblr blog and you’d open into a huge world of these quotes! I created one a few months ago, and I’m having so much fun on there pretending to be 25! 😉 I have a theme where I can upload and share music tracks very easily, which is more than SoundCloud will let me do. SoundCloud won’t let me post anything if it has a well known title – promptly deletes it for me and reminds me of their rules, and yet I find others uploading whatever tracks they like – so confusing! 😦 And WordPress want me to pay for it, but it’s all free on there!

I’m getting the feeling that these meaningful quotes seem to becoming a modern day bible – like Psalms and Proverbs – Tumblr and Facebook style!! Cheers me up some days when I’m not feeling so bright! 😀

    • I never really thought of them being like a modern day bible. But you are right, I read them often and collect many off Pinterest. I find them comforting and reassuring. I also don’t consider myself a loner but I am very comfortable being on my own, not alone, which is different I think. Yes, writing is a very solitary experience but in some ways I feel you have your words around you. I have said before on here somewhere that I cannot write with people around me. My writing time is sometime in the hour or two from when I get up to when C stumbles out of bed. As soon as he is up I stop. I haven’t looked into Tumblr, gosh, there are so many social media sites now! But I am on the verge of putting my work into the public eye so maybe Tumblr would be a good option as a blog. I like WordPress but I do find it restrictive as I am not a techy minded at all. I will look into it! How is Growltigger by the way? I haven’t seen a post from him in ages. Hope all OK. x

      • Yes, being on your own, but not alone, that’s a good way to describe it! Well, if you’re not techy minded, then you may well like Tumblr, their basic free blogs are so easy to use. They feel a little limited in terms of not being able to choose a font or copy and paste a chosen font like I do for the WordPress one. But it doesn’t matter because I’m mainly posting similar things to Pinterest, but with the added freedom of a music player and uploading/sharing animated gifs. I just love the gifs – I’m a total child when it comes to gifs!! 😀 They are extremely popular on Tumblr, everyone loves the striking gifs or even better, the mad funny ones. This is one of the mad – but very real ones I love!! http://www.ohmagif.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/trash-truck-garbage-collection-fail.gif

Whatever your main reason for your blog is, it’s a good idea to upload or reblog quotes and gifs from other Tumblr blogs, because they really help to attract people your way. And always add tags too, because I think people do a lot of searches for specific items of their personal interests. It took me while to gain some sensible followers and find out what worked on there and what doesn’t, but the thing I love about it, is it doesn’t really require any communication with other bloggers. I know that sounds strange coming from me – I like to communicate, but I’m at my limit for time with communication, don’t think I can do any more than I am already, so that’s a great advantage if you want that kind of blog! 🙂

Growltigger is fine, just still not blogging (naughty boy!) I do tell him news from various blogs, and he’s always interested to know what’s going on. I just think that blogging may not be something he wants to do all the time. You need quite a bit of motivation to keep a blog up, especially reading and commenting on posts – I have been known to find myself falling asleep at the computer at times I’ve been so tired. It doesn’t help that I don’t sleep well at night either, I’m often doing commenting at 3am because stupidly, I’m wide awake!!
